Home Care

After oral surgery, we have found that certain steps must be followed to minimize your discomfort. Please follow these steps carefully to help yourself heal faster.
As soon as you get home, do the following in this order:
  • Put the extra ice packs and ice cream in the freezer
  • Prepare your first soft, filling and high calorie meal
  • Take out the gauze we placed in your mouth
  • Eat the meal you just prepared
  • Take your pain medication according to the instructions on the bottle, even if you are not feeling any pain
  • Place new gauze back on the surgical site
  • Take the melted ice packs out of the custom fitting wrap and put them in the freezer
  • Put the frozen ice packs into the wraps on your cheeks and continue using for 48 hours
  • REST
